Hello Game’s The Last Campfire is Finally Out For Multiple Platforms

Remember the last time we heard about The Last Campfire? It was first revealed in 2018 and set to release this Summer by game studio Hello Games. And, starting today, the game is finally out for all the little campers who were looking forward to playing it. The game is available on multiple platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Apple Arcade, Epic Games, and Microsoft Windows. Steam users, however, will need to wait a bit longer as it is set to release on the platform in 2021.

The Last Campfire begins with players taking the role as a lost Ember that is trapped in a puzzling world. Encounter with lost folk, mysterious creatures, and ancient ruins, which will hint the Ember how to get back home to light The Last Campfire as well as find meaning in the world. This storyline closely resemble to the developers’ personal interests in “a deep fondness for folk tales, like those in the books from our childhood illustrated by Brian Froud – whose later work on Labyrinth and the Dark Crystal would continue to influence us in a fundamental way.” stated in gamesradar+ by Hello Games Founder Steve Murray. “In those storybooks, each page felt like it hid a secret that only you could see. That aspect of peering into another world appears to them on some deep level.” Check out the trailer to get a feel of their newest project.

With Apple Arcade re-evaluating the longevity of their current games, users may expect The Last Campfire to be a long entertaining title for the years to come. As there is still little description about the game on the platforms it offers, it might just be quicker to play and to see if it is a game that gains your interest. Again, to play the game, it is available for download on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Apple Arcade, Epic Games, and Microsoft Windows.
