Halo 5 confirmed for Fall 2015 release on Xbox One

Actual details about Halo 5 are very slim, but there was a CG trailer that was shown off at last year’s E3. And now just weeks before E3, Microsoft has confirmed that Halo 5 from the next saga of Master Chief, known officially as Halo 5: Guardians, will be a Xbox One exclusive that will be coming to us in Fall 2015.

Halo 5 will be making the game run at 60 frames per second using new engine, which 343 Industries General Manager Bonnie Ross mentions on Xbox Wire that “it’s a task that we, at 343 Industries, are taking very seriously to ensure we deliver the Halo game that fans deserve, and a game that is built from the ground up for Xbox One.”

The blue-visored character feature in the image released above for Halo 5: Guardians is not Cortana or Sarah Palmer. All we know is that they are opposite from Master Chief in the image and also Executive producer at 343 Industries, Josh Holmes, wrote on Twitter that this person is actually an entirely new male character.

Bonnie Ross mentions that “it’s a game that will hopefully demonstrate the talent, learnings and abilities of the 343 Industries team. A game that will incorporate the things we learned from Halo 4 about technology, aesthetics, performance and scale–and perhaps more importantly, understanding and embracing a community of gamers who love what lies at the heart of this game, and the limitless potential of the Halo universe.”

With Halo 4 being pushed to it boundaries and limits on what it can do on the Xbox 360, 343 Industries, is hoping to do that same thing with the new generation Xbox One and this gives them just enough time to test those limits and give what fans deserve as mentioned before.

The first game for the legendary Halo series, began with Halo: Combat Evolved back in 2001. With the most recent one being released back in 2012, which was Halo 4 on the Xbox 360. Halo 4 also brought in $300 million in its first week in 2012, and this game was the first to be released by 343 Industries, being that the other games in the series were from the developers Bungie

2015 will be a big journey being that not only will we get the release of Halo 5: Guardians, but there is also news about a Halo TV series, which will be covered up on our other site, MXDWN Television.

Be looking for more details to come for Halo 5: Guardians at Microsoft’s E3 2014 conference happening on June 9th.
