Guillermo Del Toro And Hideo Kojima To Talk About Their Careers At DICE

Konami may have pulled the plug on Silent Hills and Del Toro may be out of the gaming biz, but that doesn’t mean that Guillermo del Toro and Hideo Kojima can’t still collaborate. It was announced today that the dynamic duo would be reuniting to give the keynote address at DICE.

According to the blurb on the DICE website. The address would focus on their careers and what drives them creatively.

In a session titled “A Conversation with Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro,” these master storytellers will offer insight into their creative vision and the driving forces behind their artistic pursuits.

Among other topics, the pair will also talk about the pivotal moments in their careers and how each other’s works have inspired them. There is no way of knowing exactly what the two will talk about but it’s likely that Kojima’s recent trouble with Konami and Del Toro’s bad luck in the video game industry might come up. Even if Kojima and Del Toro’s recent low points aren’t mentioned it will still be interesting to hear what they have to say about what influences them.

The session will be moderated by Geoff Knightly and take place on February 18th, the last day of the conference. For more info on the other speakers at this year’s conference click here.
