Google Announces the Next Stadia Connect Will Take Place on July 14

Google has announced that the next Stadia Connect will be commencing next month on July 14. These events began last year as part of the company’s attempts to promote their newest online cloud-gaming service Stadia. According to Google, the upcoming Stadia Connect will pertain to some more IP’s being added to the service at some point this year stating “Join us for a look at some of the games coming to Stadia later this year.”

What these new games could be is anyone’s guess, as Stadia’s cloud-based streaming service could potentially house numerous titles. Ever since it officially launched late last year, Stadia’s list of games that you can play has steadily increased, now boasting some of the most well-known titles in the industry. The previous Stadia Connect revealed some new games that are coming to or are available on the service right now which include Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds, Octopath Traveler, and Rock of Ages III.

The service seems to be turning a major corner here, especially considering how it was when it initially launched in 2019. Google has attempted to circumvent these issues by making the Pro Tier free for couple of months, and by adding an additional Free Tier for those who don’t want to pay for the service. They’ve also cut the price down on the Premier Edition, the one that comes with the controller and a Chromecast ultra, from $129.99 to $99.99. There is a caveat to this however, as Google has also removed the free three months access to the Pro Tier in the bundle, and now only comes with the aforementioned accessories.

Either way, it will be interesting to see just what Google has in store for us with the future of their online service. The Stadia Connect will commence on July 14 and will be streamed on their official YouTube Channel.
