Frostpunk Heading to iOS and Android Devices

The popular survival city builder, Frostpunk, is now officially coming to iOS and Android devices. Earlier on Friday, 11 Bit Studios announced that it is partnering with the developer, NetEase Games, to bring the Frostpunk experience to mobile. Frostpunk was released on PC back in 2018 before later coming to the Xbox and PlayStation. The official storyline and development of the PC version came to close almost a year ago with the release of the final DLC.

In Frostpunk, players are tasked with “building the last city on Earth” in an entirely frozen world. They must provide heat and shelter to their citizens while keeping an eye on their ever-dwindling resources. In addition, laws must be made and enforced to keep the citizens in line and content. The fate of your society rests solely in your hands and it is up to you to keep them alive in this harsh wintery world.

While there is not too much news about what the mobile version will be like, it is expected to be similar to the PC and console versions. However, there does appear to be some new, unique features. These include roguelike adventure, law and guild, rare animal rescue station, as well as character development. Hopefully, in the near future, we will get some more information on what these features will entail.

However, as of right now, there is no official date for the release onto mobile devices except a vague “later this year.” Until then, check out Frostpunk on Steam and keep tabs on the official site for more news.
