Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Will Include Vegito As A Playable Character

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is only a few months away, and Bandai Namco is going all out with this third-person action RPG. Players will be able to play as a myriad of characters including, Goku, Kid Gohan, Vegeta, as well as several other characters that appear in the Cell Saga. According to Gamespot, players will also be able to play as the insanely powerful Potara Fusion Vegito, from the Majin Buu Arc. Vegito is a rather unique fusion character born from Goku and Vegeta. Unlike Goku and Vegeta’s other fusion Gogeta, Vegito doesn’t require a synchronized dance to form.

The news that Vegito would be available as a playable character came from a recent issue of Weekly Jump. The magazine confirmed that Vegito will be available as a character once the game comes out on January 17, 2020. The magazine also confirmed that Kid Buu from the Majin Buu Arc will also appear in the game later as a boss. The magazine didn’t go into specifics regarding how interwoven Vegito’s character would be in the game, but it is possible that more information will be revealed on this later.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was unveiled at E3 during a gameplay trailer showing off several bosses and a few familiar faces. DBZ: Kakarot will feature several familiar faces as well as a new face. The game will feature an original character designed by the legendary Akira Toriyama named Bonyu who can assist the player by training them in a virtual space. Players who pre-order the game will be able to have access to Bonyu as early as the Android Arc of the game instead of the Cell Arc when players would ordinarily encounter her. The game will also feature several other pre-order bonuses that grant players a plethora of boons. Players who purchase the Collectors Edition will receive an 8x8x8 diorama and a steelbook. If players purchase the Deluxe Edition, players will be able to make use of a special deluxe cooking item. Players can also receive a special ultimate cooking item, a season pass, a music pack, and an in-game vehicle that Goku can drive if they purchase the Ultimate Edition. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be available for purchase on January 17, 2020 and will be playable on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
