Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Character Transformation Trailer

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is the anticipated Bandai Namco produced follow up to the incredibly successful Dragon Ball Xenoverse, the best selling game produced based on the instantly recognizable anime series. Xenoverse 2 recently had a new trailer released, showing a bit more of a glimpse into the new game in the franchise.  The new trailer was first shown at Japan Expo, keeping up the pattern of Bandai Namco showing bits and pieces of the game at every convention that has come up recently, e.g. Anime Expo and E3.

The new trailer shows off a couple of the race specific transformations. These transformations are for the avatars that the players can use in the game’s expansive over world. The transformations, like in the show, are different depending one what race the player has chosen as the basis for their created character. The transformations are essentially power ups, that buff the player’s character. The transformations have different effects depending on which one the player chooses to implement, with there being variety even within the same character race. The transformations essential just do percentile based stat buffing and it is not known if the stat changes will be different from the ones in the Xenoverse.

The two race changes that are shown off the trailer are for the Saiyan and Majin race. The Saiyan transformation shows the customizable character going Super Saiyan 3. The transformation for the Majin character shows the character going from resembling Majin Buu, to resembling Kid Buu, the purest form of Buu which according to Dragon Ball lore is equivalent to pure evil.  The trailer can be seen below.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is set to be released for PlayStation 4 an Xbox One October 25th in North America. Xenoverse 2 will also be available both in Europe and across the world for PC through Steam on October 28th.
