Dragon Ball Fusions Announced For North America and Europe

Bandai Namco has announced that the Nintendo 3DS game, Dragon Ball Fusions will be released in North America as well as in Europe. Earlier this year we covered the initial Japanese release of the game which was slated for August 4th and that article can be read here. A new announcement trailer for Dragon Ball Fusions can be seen below.

Dragon Ball Fusions is an action RPG that is based around building your party. How you build your party is based on which ever in-game stats you value most. Dragon Ball Fusions describes itself as a “Rock Paper Scissors” RPG. This essentially means that certain characters and character types will always beat others. Considering the massive cast of characters that are a part of the ever expanding Dragon Ball universe, this system makes sense for an RPG based on that world. Besides the combat, the game is based around the player flying around the familiar settings of the Dragon Ball universe, collecting as many fighters as possible, and trying out different team and fusion combos.

A big focus for Dragon Ball Fusions is customization, the character customization details take up a good chunk of the new announcement trailer. On top of the large cast and fusions that let players customize their combat experience, there are plenty of options for cosmetic customization. Players can customize their personal avatar, the protagonist of Dragon Ball Fusion’s story. The player will be able to select the gender, voice, and race of their avatar. The races in the game include: Saiyan, Earthling, Alien, Offworlder, and Namekian. There will also be even more cosmetic options in the build your own character system for Dragon Ball Fusions. Another fun feature in the game is an option that allows players to fuse pictures of them and someone else into Dragon Ball characters.

Dragon Ball Fusions is going to be released in North America on December 13th and in Europe February 2017 on the Nintendo 3DS. Dragon Ball Fusions will also not be dubbed for these localized versions; it will only be subbed in: English, Spanish, Italian, and German.
