Death Stranding 2 Release Window Possibly Revealed

During The Game Awards 2022, one of the many new games that were announced was the heavily teased and accidentally announced prematurely Death Stranding 2. In typical Kojima fashion, the reveal trailer was exquisite, engaging, and mysterious so it’s anyone’s guess as to what to expect from the game. We did get confirmation that Norman Reedus, Lea Seydoux, and Troy Baker will return and that Ellie Fanning and Shioli Katsuna have joined the cast following the many teasers leading up to the show. Now, a release window may have been revealed thanks to a Senior Artists profile on ArtStation.

On an artist’s ArtStation profile, you can see a list of all of the games that someone has contributed to. Under artist Frank Aliberti’s profile, under the Productions section, you could see that he is a senior artist for Death Stranding 2. The listing has since been removed but accompanying it was a 2024 release date.

This wasn’t the only thing to make note of. We may have also gotten a hint at when we can expect some of PlayStation live-service titles next year. Aliberti is also contributing to an upcoming PlayStation FPS and an upcoming third-person cooperative shooter. The third-person shooter is slated for release in 2023 while the FPS has a 2024 release window.

It’s speculated that the FPS is whatever Firewalk Studios or Deviation Games is working on. Deviation was led by Jason Blundell who was one of the chief creators of Call of Duty’s Zombies mode. He left Deviation Games earlier this year. The third-person cooperative shooter does fit in line with live service game which is what Haven Studios is said to be working on. They were acquired by PlayStation earlier this year.

Nothing official has been revealed yet so take these possible release windows with a grain of salt. However, this does provide a possible sneak peek at what PlayStation’s next wave of titles may be. We have an idea of some of the titles coming next year which could include Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
