Capcom Showcases Line Up For Tokyo Game Show 2022

As Summer 2022 begins to close, another gaming event is on the horizon. The Tokyo Game Show is back this September, bringing with it online and physical events. Earlier today, Capcom revealed its attendance at the gaming event as well as details on its upcoming online program and lineup.

Capcom’s Tokyo Game Show Online Program will focus on Street Fighter 6, Exoprimal, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, Resident Evil Village and Mega Man Battle Network. According to Capcom, The Street Fighter 6 portion will focus on a brand new trailer, likely featuring more characters, and showcasing  World Tour and Battle Hub modes. The Exoprimal portion will focus on updates regarding characters, Exosuits, and more. The Monster Hunter: Rise Daybreak section will focus on the upcoming free Title Update 2 this Fall. The Resident Evil Village portion will revolve around the Resident Evil Village Gold Edition which will be releasing this fall. Finally, the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection portion will reveal the latest game information and review additional features. Capcom’s section in the Tokyo Game Show 2022 starts September 15, 2022, at 23:00 JST or 15:00 BST/16:00 CEST/07:00 PDT respectively.

Following its main online event, Capcom also announced that Street Fighter 6 will get its own special program the next day. On September 16, 2022, Capcom will showcase the new game modes in a “real-time” game-play demo and an introduction “to the vision and visuals of the world of Street Fighter 6.” Participating in this special event is Shuhei Matsumoto (Producer of Street Fighter 6), Takayuki Nakayama (Director of Street Fighter 6), and Kaname Fujioka (Art Director of Street Fighter 6).  This program is set to start at 24:00 JST or 16:00 BST/17:00 CEST/08:00 PDT respectively.

Both of these events are set to last approximately 50 minutes, though the dates and times are still subject to change. While it is disheartening to see the low title count within these events, Capcom still has a chance to deliver fans a good show.

Caitlyn Taylor: New media and entertainment have been apart of my life since I was very young, and I don't think that interest will ever go away. When I'm bored, I immerse myself in lore videos no matter the length.
