Capcom Has Launched a Halloween Themed Resident Evil 25th Anniversary Website

The 25th Anniversary of Resident Evil is underway and Capcom has just launched a brand new website that celebrates in style. The Happy Biohazard 25th Halloween site is now live and as you can guess, is filled to the brim with Halloween aesthetics. Pumpkin icons and other assortments lay across the domain, as well as some interesting tidbits on the immediate right of the page. Apparently, Capcom is going to use the site as a platform to make surprise announcements for the remainder of October.

Two of those announcements have been made kicking off the celebrations. The first is a social media campaign on Twitter. From now until November 12, Capcom is taking any posts by fans relating to Resident Evil and Halloween for a special contest. This includes posts about cosplays, art styles, or even favorite moments from any game in the series. The winners of this contest receive an assortment of prizes. This includes a Sony 4K Organic EL TV, a 128GB Oculus Quest 2 headset, a Republic of Gamers Delta S headset, and a Play in Bio Village hoodie as well as some Hound Wolf Corps patches.

The second announcement is the already revealed release date for Resident Evil 4 VR, which is October 21. The game will also be exclusive to the Oculus Quest 2 VR headset. There is seven more announcements scheduled for the rest of the month, seven of them to be exact. Three will be revealed on October 21, two more on October 22, and two final ones on their own day, October 25 and 29 respectively. Hopefully, Capcom is saving something very exciting for us near the end of the month, but as for what it could be, it’s anyone’s guess. At least we won’t have to wait very long to find out.
