Brawl Stars is a popular MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) and battle royale mobile game, developed by the Finnish company, Supercell, in 2018. Supercell is the same development team behind other hit mobile titles, like Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, and Boom Beach, and like these games, Brawl Stars has achieved great success. By January 2021, Brawl Stars surpassed $1 billion in lifetime revenue, and as of 2024, the game has been downloaded over 400 million times, making it one of the most successful mobile games in history.

The game features 3v3 battles, battle royale, objective-based modes, hero-based shooting mechanics, and ranked progression. It allows players to choose from a long list of different game modes, such as Gem Grab (3v3), Showdown (Solo/Duo), Brawl Ball (3v3), Bounty (3v3), Heist (3v3), and many more. One of the most appealing aspects of Brawl Stars is the game’s wide variety of playable characters, called Brawlers. Each Brawler has their own unique design, personality, and special abilities, along with loose storylines and shared relationships. In order to keep the game fresh and relevant, Supercell consistently incorporates new elements like limited time rewards and seasonal events into the game.

With Valentine’s Day coming closer, Brawl Star has officially begun its seasonal “Brawlentines” community event. Supercell recently announced the event via a post on the game’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, declaring that Bo, a spiritual Brawler, is “on the hunt for his sweet Brawlentine.” The post asks players to help decide Bo’s first kiss by voting in a series of polls set to take place every two days. In between these polls, players will be rewarded with various bonus events. Rewards will grow until the event ends on February 20, when players will receive all they have earned. Players have a chance at doubling these rewards if a set number of votes is reached at each poll, with the number increasing in difficulty with each one. The final five candidates for Bo’s potential first kiss will be presented and voted on in the event’s final poll on February 20.

In order to vote, players must check in with the News Tab in the game. If interested in participating in the Brawlentines giveaway, players should post a Brawlentine’s message to their other “Brawl-half.” It can be on any social media, as long as they use the #Brawlentines and #BrawlStars hashtags. Five lucky pairs of players will end up winning one million Gems on the final day of the event.
