Boxing Star Celebrates the Holidays with a Special Update

Boxing Star: Real Boxing Fight is a humorous mobile boxing game developed by South Korean developer, FourThirtyThree Inc. (4:33 Inc.). Originally released for Android devices on December 28, 2017, and later for iOS devices on July 14, 2018, the game has since achieved significant success. Boxing Star has had over 60 million cumulative downloads and generated over 100 billion KRW in global revenue since its launch six years ago. The game suits casual gamers who want engaging multiplayer elements.

Players start the game as an aspiring boxer hoping to make it big and become a world champion. It follows a storyline that involves progressing through various boxing matches. The narrative features quirky comedic characters, adding plenty of personality to an already uniquely stylized game. Multiplayer Mode makes up a large portion of Boxing Star’s gameplay, with players competing against each other in real-time matches and placing on leaderboards. Outside of the ring players have a chance to fully customize their boxers, selecting from a wide variety of gear, gloves, costumes, and even tattoos. Boxing Star has made a name for itself with its exaggerated animations and dynamic gameplay.

A special Christmas themed update called the White Christmas Crib Event began earlier today, bringing a variety of holiday themed content to the game. The event is set to end on Christmas day, giving players nearly the whole of December to experience the update’s festive content.

The White Christmas Crib Event implements temporarily redesigned visuals, all of which fit a festive holiday theme. It has added new NPC effects, loading screens, and other artistic changes that will turn even the most gruesome boxing matches a jolly experience. When it comes to gameplay changes, the update introduces the new League Promotion Match system. This feature challenges players to achieve enough of the points required for access to a Promotion Match, where a win resets players’ points to the promoted league’s starting level. If players end up losing a Promotion Match, they experience a point reduction and are required to earn more victories in League Mode in order to return.

Players who log on before December 25 will unlock an exclusive Christmas Hat costume for their boxer, adding a bit of holiday flair. There is also the possibility of earning a special Christmas coupon, which can be found through official community channels.

If any potential players feel like celebrating the holidays with a bit of violent competition, Boxing Star: Real Boxing Fight is currently available for free on iOS and Android devices. Follow the game’s official Facebook account for information of future updates or potential changes.

While many video games are available only to those who can afford expensive consoles and computers, mobile games are designed for the average person.
