Blue Manchu Announces New DLC for Void Bastards

The last time that Void Bastards had made their galactic appearance was when Blue Manchu had announced when the game was going to be raiding into player’s libraries on PC and Xbox One. And of course, that was exactly one month ago that Void Bastards was released, garnering a great entrance with a Very Positive rating over on Steam. And since its release, it has gone through the general stretch of patches and bug fixes, some quality of life change, so on and so forth. However, Blue Manchu has been working on something behind the scenes between all these patches, and for the first month anniversary, Void Bastards is getting some new content.

In Blue Manchu’s recent journal post over on the Steam page for their new game, they begin to talk about what’ll be coming up in this new DLC patch. Namely, the title addition to the upcoming DLC are Challenge Modes. There isn’t much about what the challenge modes are, but it’s implied that there are several different approaches to these challenge modes such as sneaking past extremely tough enemies, being forced to rely on amped up authorisation skills to take over ships that are being used by a super fast and difficult to manage client.

Along with this, there seems to be a mode or mini game that includes the Tydy Cleaning Robot that reacts quite negatively to nebula radiation. So it’s been advised not to get too close to them on account of them… exploding.

And the final thing that’s being teased is a brand new weapon that’s been under wraps as well.

All of this; the new organization, new challenge modes, new weapon, new ships, new opponents, and more, will all be available in this upcoming DLC. This DLC currently doesn’t have a release date, but it is promised to be free.

Void Bastards is currently available for PC and Xbox One, with a DLC on the way soon.
