Bioware Posts Multiple Job Listings For Dragon Age, Details Possible Multiplayer

After teasing us with one of the most vague trailers in the history of video games at The Game Awards 2018, it looks like Bioware is ready to get the development going for the next installment of Dragon Age. The company recently posted some job listings on LinkedIn, specifically detailing the Dragon Age franchise within the job descriptions. They are currently looking for Lead Graphics Programmer to work on the Frostibite Engine, as well as a Lead Technical UX Designer. But it’s the third listing, the Technical Director, that caught our attention.

When looking at the job post, one of the qualifications for the position states “experience developing multiplayer games.” This could be a huge indicator that the company has plans to implement the multiplayer system that Dragon Age Inquisition first brought to the franchise. While it wasn’t as popular as the single player experience, it was an interesting co-op horde mode where players could take a break from the seriousness of the storyline.

It shouldn’t be such a huge surprise that Bioware is considering multiplayer for the next entry, as this would only add to the overall content of the game. Of course, long time fans are hoping that the company stays the course of the epic storyline that Inquisition left us on. Bioware has a long history of outstanding RPG’s, most notably Mass Effect and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, both of which are considered to be the gold standard of how to make a grand RPG with excellent storylines.

However, we will more than likely be waiting a long time for this game to launch, as it was reported late last year that the game is still very early in development, and will probably require few years of work before it’s completed. Dragon Age isn’t the only game that they are working on, however. The company is all set to release Anthem next month on February 22, and before that, a pair of Beta tests are scheduled to take place on January 25 and February 1.
