ATLUS’s lates upcoming RPG finally gets a release date. According to the press release, the upcoming action turn-based role playing game (RPG) Metaphor: ReFantazio is set to release October 11, 2024. The announcement was made during 30-minute livestream with the game’s developers, alongside a 30-minuet look at it’s gameplay.
Metaphor: ReFantazio tells the story of the United Kingdom of Euchronia in dissary following the assassination of their king. A tournament for the throne is enacted by the mysterious Royal Magic unique to the now dead king. Players will take control of the protagonist alongside his companion Gallica, as they enter the tournament for the throne, all the while seeking to lift the curse from a prince the kingdom has thought lost.
Alongside an indepth narrative, a day and night cycle lets players to explore a variety of features including quests, dungeon crawling and hunting, for treasure.
Most interestingly, Metaphor: ReFantazio boasts a hybrid battle system that combines turn based and real time action.
Pre-order for physical editions are available. Those that pre-order will be able to obtain various in-game rewards including Archetype EXP Chest Set, 10 Hero Incense (100 Archetype Experience Increase), Adventurer Travel Package and much more.
Metaphor: ReFantazio releases on October 11, 2024 for Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam Windows , PlayStation 5 , and PlayStation 4.
