Anthem Act 1 Content Getting Delayed

Today, Bioware has released a new update for Anthem that includes new content and improvements to the game. They also announced that they have delayed future content that was set to come out during Act 1 of the game’s live service.

Bioware has released a message on Reddit about the new updates for Anthem. Concerning the news about the delay of content they said: “while we have delivered many of the Act 1 features on time, we are not going to hit our goals on our Act 1 Calendar.”

Bioware has been busy working to fix bugs, stability, and game flow issues that have plagued the game since its release, “but the reality is there are more things to fix and improve than we planned for. While this is the best thing to do for the game, it means some items from the calendar will be delayed” Bioware said.

The features being delayed include the Mastery System, Guilds, Phase II of Legendary Missions, Weekly Stronghold Challenge, Leaderboards, Some Freeplay Events, and the Cataclysm.

The biggest feature getting delayed is the Cataclysm which is set to bring new challenges and rewards while also pushing the story of Anthem forward.

Cataclysms are world events that will cause physical changes to the world like extreme weather and changes to the landscape. Bioware said that “the cataclysm is an important addition to the game and it’s currently a big focus for the team.”

The new game update 1.1.0 brought in several new features and content into the game. The biggest thing is that players will now be able to access the forge anywhere in the world.

This means that it is possible to change your gear wherever you are in the game instead of always having to go back to Fort Tarsis to access the Forge. Players are also now able to launch a new expedition from the end of expedition menu instead of having to load into Fort Tarsis and start a new expedition from there.

The biggest content update is a new stronghold called “The Suken Cell”. Players can also have access to contracts without having to run around and pick them up. The full patch notes for the update can be found here.
