A New Trailer Has Been Released For miHoYo’s Honkai Star Rail

The first gameplay trailer has been released for miHoYo’s newest RPG Honkai Star Rail.  miHoYo is the same Chinese technology company also behind Genshin Impact, rated by the app store as #10 in adventure games, and Honkai Impact 3rd. It has been announced that Honkai Star Rail will take place in the same universe as Honkai Impact 3rd and will even have some familiar characters. The trailer reveals that this game will be an action RPG where players will be able to trade-off between up to four characters at once. The art style is graphically stunning, however, it seems to follow the style of Genshin Impact more than that of Honkai Impact 3rd. Honkai Impact 3rd first gave miHoYo national recognition across China until the release of Genshin Impact in 2020 when they received worldwide fame. The release of Honkai Star Rail marks the return to the series that they started with.

Closed beta signups are also available, however, the exact start dates of the testing period have not yet been released. The game’s official website currently shows eight characters that will be present in the new game. Their bios are available to read alongside their images. For those who have not yet had a chance to check out Honkai Impact 3rd, it is a gacha game where girls with superpowers known as “Valkyries” must battle monsters and natural disasters in a post-apocalyptic world. Players are challenged to collect different Valkyries in order to defeat machine monsters. Each new character has its own unique abilities and play style.

Honka Star Rail will be available on iOS and Android devices as well as on PC. Though the beta sign up for the new Honkai Star Rail will be limited, Honkai Impact 3rd is available on the App Store and on Google Play for free with in-app purchases.
