343 Industries Shares A Few Details About Halo Infinite And Their Plans For 2020 Leading Up To Launch

In their recap of 2019, 343 Industries briefly touched upon Halo Infinite and provided a few details about the game, including that they plan to provide opportunities to test the game through their flighting program. 343 Industries said: “The last time we really spoke about Halo Infinite was when we debuted the Discover Hope trailer at E3 earlier this year. We know that’s a long time to go without saying much about a Halo game, but please trust me when I say that the Halo hype train that kicked off two weeks ago with Halo: Reach will not be slowing down at all in 2020.”

Some of the game features that will be available in Halo Infinite include split-screen which 343 says is “up and running,” LAN, black undersuits and other player customization, with 343 saying that “if you liked the level of armor customization options in Halo: Reach, you will be pleased.” A token of appreciation will be given to anyone who reaches SR 152 in Halo 5: Guardians and the Forge will return with some new features such as undo and redo buttons.

Halo Infinite “follows the Master Chief’s story sometime after Halo 5: Guardians‘ conclusion.” It will be released Holiday 2020 for the Xbox Series X, the Xbox One family of consoles, and PC. 343 Industries has also said that they have assembled an internal Pro Team for Halo Infinite. The internal Pro Team will help 343 Industries balance the game. The flighting programs “will start small and slowly expand out until release.”

Halo Infinite was first revealed at E3 2018 with trailer showcasing 343 Industries’s new engine for the game. At E3 2019, the Discover Hope trailer was released. It was also revealed that the game will be launching Holiday 2020 with the release of the next-generation Xbox which had its name and design revealed as Xbox Series X at The Game Awards last week.
