Zynga Bleeding Executives

Since Don Mattrick took over as Zynga CEO earlier this month there have been three executive departures. That makes a total of more than a dozen company executives leaving the social gaming giant since its late 2011 IPO, according to a report from Bloomberg.

A Senior Vice President – John Osvald, along with Vice Presidents Nathan Etter and Jesse Janosov, resigned this month, with Etter apparently taking a job within the Walt Disney Company’s Interactive Division.

Mattrick, formerly President of the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft, was brought on as CEO at Zynga July 1, 2013, replacing Zynga founder Marc Pincus.

At the time of their IPO, Zynga raised $1 Billion and was the largest maker of social games, such as Farmville and Cityville. However, since then shares have dropped 70% in value and a new top social game developer has emerged: King.com, with hits like Candy Crush Saga and PetRescue Saga.

Looks about right…..
