Yakuza 6: The Song of Life Western Release Delayed by Sega

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, the next entry into the Sega’s Yakuza series, has been available in Japan since December of 2016. It was originally slated to release in North America and Europe on March 20 of this year. Unfortunately for interested players, developers announced that the game has been delayed.

So far, Sega has not given any information on the reason for pushing the games release date. However, there is some good news. To make up for the delay, a demo of the game will be released to the public on February 27. This will be the first chance for Western audiences to get a look at the full game.

The announcement also promised that more updates will be coming in the next few weeks. The delay was revealed in a tweet earlier today from the game’s official twitter:

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life will launch exclusively on the PlayStation 4 on April 17.
