Xenoblade Chronicles X Is Finally Announced For The Nintendo Switch

The Xenoblade Chronicles collection on Nintendo Switch will be made complete with Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition. Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition is set for release on March 20, 2025. The game was announced this morning on Nintendo’s own YouTube Channel. Xenoblade fans have been pleasantly surprised, as there were no prior arrangements for said announcement.

Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition is a remaster of the original 2015 game on the Wii U. It is the second installment in a series containing four main games with two major side releases. Xenoblade Chronicles X is not intertwined with the other titles in the series. According to Gematsu the game takes place in New Los Angeles. Unlike the other three Xenoblade games you will create your own main character. Alongside your hero, you can play as Elma, Tatsu, Lin, Cross, Maurice, Vanhalm, Irina, Gwin, Nagi, Ru, Lao, Douglas and Boze. An additional feature of this definitive edition are the upgraded character models. The visuals have received an overhaul.

The trailer begins with the main character walking up to Elma and looking off at New Los Angeles. Elma explains that New Los Angeles is based on their original home on Earth. Massive flying beasts soar through the air, herds of pack-like aliens travel across the grassland. The protagonist and his allies travel through expansive alien environments. We see a Skell drive on the beach and transform into a Mech. Lin explains that another person has joined their band of refugees and they are forging a new way of life on Mira. Space warfare takes place between unknown opponents. Lin explains they do not know what lies in wait for them. We see Lao beached on the shore and a hooded figure standing over him, the figure greets him and begins to remove his hood. the trailer ends.
