Xbox Launches Select PC Titles on NVIDIA GeForce NOW

Ever since Microsoft signed ten-year deal with NVIDIA in February, the deal’s prospects haven’t come to light until now. On the morning of May 18th, Xbox debuted Gears 5 on NVIDIA GeForce Now, with more PC games like Deathloop, Grounded, and Pentiment set to launch on May 25th. These titles were released to GeForce Now as the first stage of Microsoft and NVIDIA’s ten-year deal to make Xbox PC games available to GeForce NOW players. As of now, GeForce Now members from all around the world can enjoy Gears 5 and more Xbox PC titles to come.

Sarah Bond, Corporate Vice President of Xbox, made this announcement via the official Xbox Wire. On this particular selection of titles, she commented, “The initial slate of launch games spans our catalog, providing players high-quality, immersive titles with a little something for everyone–single-player campaigns, story-driven experiences, and opportunities to play with friends and family through multiplayer.”

Xbox intends to add more content from their portfolio on a regular basis so players can always access new games. The company’s partnership with NVIDIA is the first step towards making Xbox PC titles available on a global scale through cloud gaming services, in this case being GeForce Now. Xbox also intends to debut PC games on other cloud gaming platforms like Boosteroid, Ubitus, EE, and Nware for the same purpose.

“Delivering our content through more partners and cloud gaming services puts players at the center, empowering them to play the games they want, with the people they want, on the devices they want,” Bond stated. “NVIDIA has been an outstanding partner for team Xbox over the years, and we can’t wait to see their devoted fans discover and play their next favorite PC games from Xbox.”

Additional information regarding future Xbox titles on GeForce Now will be announced soon.
