The next installment in the Mortal Kombat franchise has been officially announced, and as fan wait for more information as it release date nears, Amazon has allegedly given them sneak peek at what can be expected. First noticed by Twitter user Idle Sloth, it was recently discovered that Amazon Italy accidentally leaked the Kombat Pack 1 , the first DLC character pack in Mortal Kombat 1, in its listing of the Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition.
While some of the roster was already revealed in the game’s announcement, most of the alleged characters revealed in the leak has left Mortal Kombat fans confused. According to the leak, Kombat Pack 1 will have six playable characters and five Kameo characters. The playable characters are alleged to be Quan Chi, Omni Man, Ermac, Peacemaker, Takeda, Homelander and the Kameo characters characters are alleged to be Tremor, Johnny Cage, Khameleon, Mavado, Ferra and Jean Claude Van Damme skin.
Fan reactions to the leaks have been mixed, with many noting the hilarity of the pack being leaked nearly a day after Mortal Kombat 1 was officially announced. While many were concerned at Johnny Cage being listed as a Kameo character, Mortal Kombat 1’s newly introduced assist characters, Johnny Cage was confirmed to be a playable character in the game’s FAQ.
The leaks also give credence to previous speculation of popular DC characters being appearing in the next Mortal Kombat title. While Warner Bros. Games and NeatherRelm Studios have yet to confirm the leaks its looking more likely that Omni Man, Peacemaker and even Homelander will be apart of the reboot.
The Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition Amazon Italy page has been fixed since the news broke.
