Krauser’s back! And he brought a stage with a packed audience to witness him beating you up.
Krauser is SNK mainstay Geese Howard’s brother and, while he’s had sporadic appearances in SNK’s other franchise King of Fighters, he hasn’t been seen in the mainline Fatal Fury games since his implied death in Fatal Fury 2 after his plan to avenge his brother’s defeat ended in his loss to Fatal Fury protagonist Terry Bogard. But now he’s back in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and he’s not quite as dead as Nightmare Geese so he’s got that going for him!
Krauser’s been on ice for decades at this point, but he’s still got some of his biggest hits here like his Leg Tomahawk, an enhanced version of his knee sobat, and of course, his iconic Kaiser Wave. Krauser’s big Hidden Gear, in fact, combines all his previous supers: An Unlimited Desire barrage straight into a Gigantic Cyclone polished off with a Kaiser Wave. Krauser is a heavy hitter with big hurtboxes, long limbs, and real power behind his animations; of all the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves characters Krauser really feels like he hits the hardest.
Krauser is the latest in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves’ long list of DLC characters for this season. SNK has really been pumping these characters out and been consistent with their balancing, to contrast many of the other fighting games on the market. Krauser will release on April 24th, 2026 with the next DLC character to release some time in May and the final DLC character for this season, guest character Kenshiro from Hokuto no Ken, to be released in June. SNK has really been making a lot of progress in terms of updating the game to address complaints and the meta is looking more healthy than its ever been, if you want to get into an SNK game now could be a good chance to get into City of the Wolves!
