Today marks the end of Summer Game Fest with Gamescom Opening Night Live; the final event in a long summer of gaming presentations without E3 happening this year. This will be the second Opening Night Live hosted by Geoff Keighley after the event kicked off Gamescom proper last year.
We already know a lot of stuff that will be shown off during Opening Night Live thanks to Keighley stating this will mostly be about updates on certain games. A demo for the upcoming PlayStation 5 game, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will be shown off. Though still a ways off, we will be getting a tease at Season 2 of the newest hit Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout. There will be another look at Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War which was finally revealed yesterday.
There will also be more looks at Star Wars: Squadrons, Doom Eternal‘s upcoming DLC The Ancient Gods, a new trailer for Mafia Definitive Edition, and a plethora of other games. However, there are sure to be some surprises revealed during the event. Could we finally get a look at the long rumored Xbox Series S similar to the Xbox Series X reveal at The Game Awards last year? Will Sony and Microsoft finally reveal the price and release dates of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X? Only time will tell and there’s not much time left until we find out.
