Developer Mihoyo has just announced the release of their version 1.5 update to their action role-playing game Zenless Zone Zero. Gematsu says the update, dubbed “Astra-nomical Moment” will launch on January 22 on PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android devices.
Among the additions in the update, is character Astra Yao, a performer at this year’s Starloop, an iconic city landmark; She is an S-rank ether support character. The character provides buffs and damage bonuses for the party, even when not actively on the team. Astra Yao features an ultimate attack which damages enemies and heals the party. Evelyn, is Astra’s guardian and an S-rank Fire attack agent. Her attack generates chain attacks and changes animation after her initial attack.
In a recent interview with Famitsu, Producer of Zenless Zone Zero Li Zhenyu had this to say about the game’s growing popularity “What is particularly noteworthy is that it has already gained a core player base, even though it has not been long since its release. And the game optimization and updates we have been making have been well received among these core players. Considering the time since its release, this is still a relatively young title in the market. After about half a year of operation, game optimization, and honing the core play style, the game has become more mature. We are confident that ZenZero‘s gaming experience will continue to improve in the future, and that there is still a lot of potential and room for growth and development.”
A parkour racing game is being added in this most recent update. The game’s arcade, Bizzare Brigade, is adding a 2 player PvE mode and a 10 floor rogue-like survival game called ‘Endless Tower: The Last Stand’ has been added, as well as a fishing mini game ‘Elpis Ultimate Angler Challenge.’ Cosmetics are being made available through participation in the Bangboo Pageant.
Zenless Zone Zero is a relatively new release, though even just a little digging will reveal a very loyal fanbase. Hopefully this update will be enough to sate the appetites of those waiting since the 1.4 release.
