Recently, Vampire Survivors received a massive new update available for download. The developers behind the game, Poncle stated that update 1.5 will unlock a whole new world to players within the game space. The Overwhelming Update will include a new stage called the Astral Stair that Poncle referred to as “chaotic” due to the nature of its conception.
Astral Stair will feature “Seemingly endless corridors, flying paintings and gameshow-like spinning wheel that triggers random events – on the new stage Astral Stair the players face overwhelming chaos and a few surprises.” Players can expect Astral Stair to truly test their skills in Vampire Survivors while giving the title an added flair that not many other games have. Furthermore, a new item called GoldFinger which gives the player increased strength and invincibility for a short period of time. This new pick-up item will give players an added edge over their enemies while increasing their score with each enemy defeated.
Six new achievements will be included in the Vampire Survivors 1.5 update as well. Four of which are relevant to Astral Stair while the other two refer back to previous downloadable content from Vampire Survivors: “Legacy of Moonspell” and “Tides of the Foscari.” The addition of the Overwhelming Update achievements expanded the already extensive achievement list to sum up to one hundred ninety achievement; all of which have differing levels of rewards.
In addition, players can expect to see the great Yatta Cavallo, to receive a new transformation. The greatly powerful, cherry bomb throwing bear will be able to morph once it reaches level eighty which gives them a power boost and they receive a stronger bomb called the Yatta Daikarin. In addition, the 1.5 update adds the Chaos Rosalia relic which aids in allowing Yatta Cavallo to morph upon reaching level eighty.
Vampire Survivors‘ Overwhelming Update includes a relic called the Trisection that once activated gives players a whole new experience with the game. The relic offers a new game mode called the “Randomize Minute Events” that has a spinning wheel which starts special events for every minute that passes. As the wheel sits in the corner of the screen, the events determine what wave of enemies the player has to encounter until the next spin. However, the computer ports of Vampire Survivors have a Twitch mode that gives viewers the chance to vote on what the next event their favorite streamers have to deal with.
