It’s been a while since we heard anything about the upcoming Skate title. Long-awaited and frequently requested, the newest entry in the Skate franchise still doesn’t have an official name. Fans have taken to nicknaming it Skate 4, which is only appropriate as the previous entry was Skate 3 in 2010. While we did get a very brief teaser on it last year, we haven’t really received any new concrete information in regards to it. Well, that changes now, as developer Full Circle has officially revealed that the next Skate game will be coming to the PC platform when it launches.

Considering that neither Full Circle nor EA has confirmed which console Skate will even be releasing for, this new tidbit of information is exciting, to say the least. It’s also substantial as this will also be the first entry in the series to make its way to the PC platform. All three previous titles have been exclusive to the home console market, with fans clamoring as far back as last year to have the newest one be available on PC. It seems that Full Circle was listening, and officially granted their wish. Unfortunately, no other details were given in regards to the game’s development or potential release date.
Full Circle reiterated this past July that the project was still underway, albeit with little to no detail. They were also absent from the EA Play Live 2021 event that took place the same month, although that was expected. Still, it is nice to see some sort of progress, especially with the implementation of a PC launch. Hopefully, we’ll hear more in the coming months, as well as which home consoles the title will release for. It’s more than likely that it will come to the PlayStation and Xbox systems, but we’ll still have to wait and see.
