Upcoming Release of RPG Survival Game The Bonfire 2: Uncharted Shores for iOS and Steam with Game Development Insights

The Bonfire 2: Uncharted Shores (Bonfire 2) will be released on August 20th and 21st for both iOS and Steam. While there is much to discover about this game, the Bonfire 2 storyline takes place in the previous game The Bonfire 1: Foresaken Lands (Bonfire 1) released in 2018. Developed and published by Xigma Games, Bonfire 1 became immensely popular after its release with fans requesting a sequel. In this single-player, survival Role Playing Game (RPG), a small group of explorers are sent on a mission to defeat an evil sorcerer. They end up stranded on an island, which players will then need to build a village, discover ancient artifacts, explore mysterious dungeons, and fight against enemies to rebuild their power. Fast forward today, the popularity of Bonfire 1 inevitably led to the development of Bonfire 2.

Xigma Games, however, announced Bonfire 2 will have improvements made using its predecessor. Bonfire 2 will focus more on “the feedback from players into the design process” and “a longer game with more depth.” – stated in an interview by Xigma Games Co-owner, Govardhan Gosavi. For example, in Bonfire 2, players will be given the freedom to design their own city from start to finish. With a top down perspective, a player’s city can be seen isometrically for them to view and design their cities in any way they wish. Obtaining more resources from neighboring cities or dungeons, their cities can be further customized to their preferences to defend from invading enemies. These new additions to the sequel, therefore, provides a deeper gameplay experience for those who enjoyed Bonfire 1.

The game will be priced for $4.99 for iOS at the App Store and $11.99 for PC on SteamIf interested in learning more about Bonfire 1 and 2, GamingonPhone has released their developer interview with Govardhan Dosavi.
