Upcoming PC Game Taco Gun Is A Tactical Food-Fighting Frenzy

The developers over at Floating Island Studios have recently announced a release date for their upcoming arena fighter, Taco Gun. If shooting your friends with tacos until they explode seems appealing, this may be the perfect title for you.

Players adopt the role of a gun-slinging Mexican pistolero whose only mission is to eliminate all adversaries. The gameplay derives entirely of local multiplayer, so no online functionality is supported, meaning you’ll need to convince your friends to give this one a shot. Persuasion shouldn’t be too hard considering the charm of the absurd world and the unique food-fighting mechanics. Get creative with your arsenal by combining foods, like certain chillis, to manufacture Molotov cocktails. Think outside the box and you’re bound to create some interesting and deadly concoctions.

You’ll be able to choose from seven different characters that share unique traits and fight across eight different levels. You can play with a group of two to four individuals at once, so be sure to plan accordingly. Survival comes with mowing down your opponents, which you’ll be able to accomplish through co-op or pure PvP.

An immersive fattening system tallies how much you’re eating, and may result in you maneuvering slowly or bouncing around in a rapid manner. Parkour-like elements are utilized to ensure you may partake in wall jumping and air-dashing through the various levels. Dodging is paramount to survival, so this mechanic is one you’ll quickly need to nail. Levels contain various environmental factors, including trains, UFO, and cornfields. Each level will contain its own theme song that encapsulates its essence to further enhance the taco-shooting mood.

Although this game will only be available on PC, it’s highly encouraged you and your party play with controllers, be it Xbox or PlayStation. Prospective players can check out the trailer below if this seems enticing, and expect Taco Gun to release come May 17.
