Twitch Prime members already get some perks for their subscription: in-game exclusives, ad-free viewing, channel subscriptions and occasionally, a free game. Now, it looks like they are expanding that program.
In a blog post today Twitch launched a new initiative for Prime members they call “Free Games with Prime.” It is pretty self explanatory. Members will have access to free games every month. For their inaugural outing, they are offering 5 games: Superhot, Oxenfree, Mr. Shifty, Shadow Tactics, Tales from Candleheep: Tomb of Annihilation.
The most exciting part of the announcement for most players will be that you get to keep these games forever. According to the blog post from Twitch, any games subscribers get will be their forever, even if they are no longer Prime members.
The line up for April has also been announced and is looking pretty interesting as well. It includes popular Telltale title Tales From The Borderlands, Kingsway, Tokyo 42, Dubwars, and SteamWorld Dig 2.
Twitch Prime is available free to Amazon Prime Subscribers residing inside the United States. Amazon Prime costs $13 per month or 99$ for the year. Free Games with Prime begins on March 15 and the first round of games will be available until March 31. Remember to keep an eye on the service each month as more games become available.
