Pre-registration for the new roleplaying card game Tower of God: New World has opened. The developers, Netmarble, are letting players pre-register on Google Play and the App Store where they can also sign up for the official Discord channel to receive additional rewards. Netmarble is one of the leading game developers and publishers when it comes to high-quality mobile games, so fans of the “Tower of God” series were hyped to see what they have in store for them.
“Tower of God” started as a South Korean fantasy manhwa on Webtoon. The protagonist is a youth named Twenty-Fifth Bam who follows his best friend Rachel to reach the top of a gigantic, mysterious building called the Tower of God. Legend has it that whoever reaches the top of the tower will have all of their wishes granted and Rachel goes in without telling Bam. Now, he is chasing his best friend through the many floors of this tower to reunite with his friend. The manhwa attracted more than six billion views over the course of its runtime and even got an animated adaptation in 2020 that left fans wanted more from the franchise.
Tower of God: New World follows the same premise of the manhwa where players will accompany Bam as he ascends the Tower of God to find Rachel. The mobile game features many different features such as a gacha mechanic to collect fan-favorite characters and level up their team to progress further up the tower. In addition, there are two gameplay modes that players can participate in: Story Mode and Adventure Mode. Story Mode follows the story of the Webtoon manhwa, so players will have the chance to see how the story plays out while actively engaging with the plot. Iconic story elements will be presented in beautifully animated cutscenes to immerse the players even more into this franchise. Meanwhile, Adventure Mode gives players tasks from the Administrator’s office that they must complete in order to move upward in the Tower of God.
Many familiar faces will show up in the roster for Tower of God: New World as the game will include more than one hundred characters that the player can collect over the course of the game. Each character will have their own play style which can be coordinated into performing different special abilities and buffs the player can use to their advantage. Players will be able to accumulate the specific characters they want to assemble powerful teams that will allow them to defeat formidable opponents and move forward in the game. Moreover, Tower of God: New World allows players to equip new characters once they reach higher status to remove the need for using the Slot System to level them up. The gameplay consists of simple strategic battles than increasing become more in-depth and complex the further you move along.
