Just this morning, some new information was released about the soon to be released games Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. The news came in the form of a Tweet from the Undertale developer Toby Fox in which he announced that he was asked to compose a music track for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. In the tweet, he states that, “It’s a huge honor to be asked to be part of something like this.” and underneath he draws a sketch of what appears to be a Yamper.
In another tweet he adds that the track he composed is not the main theme for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. He did not go into details about what his track would be used for, however, gamers will be able to discover it for themselves on November 15. This isn’t the first time Toby Fox has worked with Game Freak in order to produce music. The Undertale developer also composed music for Little Town Hero which released a few weeks ago.
Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield are only a few weeks away and players can look forward to a myriad of features sure to spice up gameplay. The games will feature regional variants just like in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon and Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Pokémon Sword and Shield will also be the first main line Pokémon games to feature raid battles. The raid battles, known as max raid battles will allow up to four players to team up to combat and capture an enormous and powerful Pokémon. It was also revealed on Nintendo Direct that players will also be able to go camping in the Wild Area and cook delicious curry that they can share with their Pokémon. Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be released on November 15 and will be available for Nintendo Switch.
