Titan Comics Has Announced an Assassin’s Creed: Origins Comic Series

Assassin’s Creed: Origins made its debut last October, and now it’s getting a series of graphic novels that tie in directly to the game’s plot. Titan Comics, the same publisher behind Wolfenstein II and upcoming Bloodborne and Sea of Thieves graphic novels, has announced its foray into Assassin’s Creed Origins. Furthermore, Titan has confirmed that the first issue in the comic series will release this February.

Set after the events of the main game, the comic series will take readers “back to where it all began,” to witness “the birth of the creed, from the mother of all Assassins.” Little else in the way of pot details are available at this time, although the graphic novel will feature historical figures from the game, including Cleopatra.

The primary cover for the first issue was illustrated by artist Stephanie Hans (The Wicked + The Divine, Angela: Queen Of Hel, and Jean Grey). You can check out Hans’ illustration below.

Assassin’s Creed: Origins #1 will be available online and in comic book stores on February 14, 2018. Assassin’s Creed: Origins (the game) is available to play now, and recently saw the release of its first story expansion DLC.

Glenn Carreau: Hi! I'm Glenn: recent college grad specializing in interactive arts and media, writer, game creator and connoisseur, pop culture junkie, and semi-professional fan-artist and blogger. In my free time, I function as an unnecessarily specific gaming encyclopedia. I also play the violin, binge crime/detective procedural shows (still not sure why), and do a large amount of digital painting. I'm probably too attached to Dragon Age, but not really inclined to do anything about it. I'm a huge fan of cosplay, foxes, the prose of Jenny Lawson, and Strong Female Characters™.
