“Xbox One is Kinect,” Phil Harrison, Microsoft corporate vice president said during an interview with CVG. And, Microsoft seems to be standing behind those words in the company’s assertion that all Xbox One consoles will be sold with Kinect as part of the system. There will be no way to buy the console in-store without Kinect.
Harrison even said the collaboration of the Xbox One and Kinect technology makes him feel as though he is having a “magical experience” when he interacts with the console.
The Xbox One is still able to operate fully without the use of Kinect, so the actual utilization of it will be left entirely up to the gamer.
