Here’s a rundown of the game’s storyline and unique key features:

In the game, the Smurf gang will have to find a way to elude Gargemel’s evil. You will discover that in Gargemel’s laboratory the wizard has discovered a formula to create a wicked plant called, Vileaf. This plant produces seeds that attract Smurfs, once they come close to the bait, it traps them in vegetal traps. But that’s not all, the Vileaf is also a great danger to the forest as they are highly toxic.

The mission will require you to take control and lead a team of Smurfs. This team will consist of four Smurfs: Hefty, Smurfette, Brainy, and Chef. You will get to play as all four, utilizing their unique abilities for different challenges and tasks. Equipped with 5 different worlds, you must explore each to collect all the ingredients needed to prepare an antidote for the forest.

Your team of four will rely heavily on The Smurfizer tool revealed in the trailer. The Smurfizer, invented by Handy Smurf, contains an array of functions allowing you to heal corrupted plants, facilitate your progress in the game, jump higher, glide, dive, and overcome obstacles.

There will also be two special editions upon the game’s release: the “Smurftastic Edition” and the “Collector Edition.” The Smurftastic Edition will come with the game on PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, three lithographs, a Papa Smurf keychain, and a sticker sheet. While the Collectors Edition will contain all the items mentioned in the Smurftastic Edition in addition to a Hefty Smurf figurine and the game’s soundtrack.
