Super Smash Bros. Demo Playable At Best Buy

As promised, Super Smash Bros. will be playable in demo form at select Best Buys across the United States during the week of E3. The game can be played on June 11 between 4 and 9 pm. After this first found, players can brawl away on the next day, June 12, from noon to 5 pm. Nintendo has titled the event the “Super Smash Bros. Smash-Fest @ Best Buy.

Those in attendance can play the exact same demo being featured in the floor at E3 in full 4-player match between one another. Already eager fans not only will get a chance to demo the highly anticipated fighting game, but are eligible to receive a Super Smash Bros. themed gold coin. Only the first 70 attendees that per-order the game are able to own this exclusive Nintendo item. Also, anyone per-ordering is able to get a $5 gift card to Best Buy.

Nintendo announced that they will not be holding a traditional E3 press conference earlier this month. Instead, they will be hosting a live streamed E3 Digital Event video to announce new games and provide updates of current known titles on June 10 at 9 am Pacific Time. The event can be watched on Twitch’s E3 channel or the Nintendo Twitch Channel.

Last year Nintendo made a surprise move and said it would not hold a E3 press conference for the first time. They also did a similar demo situation by demoing E3 games at Best Buy just like this year. The added per-order perks make this a very different experience from the last year’s alternative. Also, Super Smash Bros. looks to be the only game the company will demo for the public as of now.

If a new trend is to be set, Nintendo is trying there best to offer fans an E3 experience without their attendance at the popular game show. E3 is also going to be a place for fans to play in a Super Smash Bros. tournament. This tournament will be live streamed on June 10 at 4 pm. Still there is no word on the exact dates the Super Smash Bros. titles will be released. Supers Smash Bros. for the 3DS is expected Summer 2014 and Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U in Fall 2014.
