Publisher Deep Silver announced back in March that Keen Games’ action role playing game, Sacred 3, would be coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC platforms on August 26th. Though just revealed today, the game will be coming 3 weeks earlier than the previously announced launch date, which will now be releasing on August 5th. Pre-orders are open right now on GameStop, Target, Walmart, and Amazon for $49.99.
Players will be able to continue the Sacred series with characters that include Ancarian, Khukuri, the Safiri, and Seraphim, plus also have a choice from a variety of classes. Players will be able to play locally with two player co-op or go online with four player co-op. Sacred 3 will bring something new to the Sacred series called Weapon Spirits, which are upgradable items that allow players to enhance their weapons.
In Sacred 3, the guardians will need to protect a powerful artifact known as the Heart of Ancaria, and also the bond that people and peace there has been in the land of Ancaria. Though all that is disturbed by one ruler named Lord Zane of Ashen Empire, who would try anything to obtain the powerful artifact, and has also made allies with demons in order to open the gates to the underworld. It is your job to forge a resistance of Heroes to defeat Lord Zane and his allies at all costs.
Deep Silver mentions that players who pre-order Sacred 3 through GameStop will receive the GameStop Exclusive DLC Pack, which features:
– Pre-order Sacred 3 and Receive the GameStop Exclusive Underworld Story DLC, Z4ngr13f Weapon Spirit, and Malakhim!
– Underworld Story: Venture into the Underworld through a newly-discovered portal and find the mysterious tower guarded by the Black Seraphim. This pack contains 4 all-new missions set in the Underworld of Ancaria.
– Z4ngr13f Weapon Spirit: John was busy pwning mobs in Sacred during a speedrun when lightning struck and he got sucked into the world of Ancaria. With the expertise of John sealed into your weapon of choice, those Ashen troops stand no chance! This pack contains the exclusive Z4ngr13f weapon Spirit.
– Malakhim Hero: Play as Kython the Malakhim, a mysterious dark assassin from unknown origins. Use powerful blood magic to reinforce the resistance, and protect Ancaria. This pack contains Kython the Malakhim as a fully playable character.
