Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission Will Release In North America

The Dragon Ball hype train has no brakes. Recently we saw the announcement of a new Dragon Ball action RPG, but if you need Dragon Ball game to hold you over until more information is given on that project, look no further than Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission. The highly anticipated card-based RPG was recently revealed to be coming to western audiences during the Dragon Ball Games Super Showcase livestream. This is big news considering this will be the first game in the Dragon Ball Heroes franchise to come to the west. This isn’t all the news however, as the game is also releasing on Steam as well. As prior installments of Dragon Ball Heroes outside of the original arcade have been exclusively on handhelds such as the Nintendo 3DS, this is also a first for the series.

A few weeks ago Bandai Namco released a new gameplay trailer that showed off what separates Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission from other Dragon Ball games, presenting the unique card based gameplay that the Dragon Ball Heroes series is known for. It’ll be interesting to see how Bandai Namco will deal with such a large roster being voiced and named considering many characters have yet to be revealed in the English dub of Dragon Ball Super. Some characters also exist only in Dragon Ball Heroes and nowhere else in the series. It’s due to this that there probably won’t be a dubbed version of the game, just like Dragon Ball: FusionsSuper Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission will include characters from Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Super, and more, along with other characters from the films, games, and original creations.

Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission will release on April 5, 2019 for PC and the Nintendo Switch.
