A new single player game by That’s No Moon titled Crossfire was revealed at the Summer Games Fest. The trailer shown features a variety of mechanics including terrain traversal, shooter combat, and stealth. The main focus of the game, however, is the narrative. The footage focused on two operators on opposing sides, forced to set aside their differences in order to make it out alive.
The biggest talking point of the post-trailer introduction was the new adaptive cover mechanic, which will allow players to work in tandem with their environment and positions of the enemies in a more dynamic way than most other games. The new system opens up more opportunities for tactical expression during combat, contemplating the difficult odds that players will face.
