Today, RGG Studios and SEGA shared a new look at the upcoming, highly anticipated new Virtua Fighter game which didn’t have an official name until now. VIRTUA FIGHTER CROSSROADS is set to release in 2027.
The new trailer focuses on new fighter Cielo and offers a taste of the cinematic narrative and intense action that will define RGG Studio’s foray into this unconventional new approach to the fighting game genre, all while retaining the series’ core legacy of pure, realistic combat with simple controls that have made it a pillar of the industry.
In addition to the trailer, a dedicated showcase is set to premiere later today at 5:00 pm. The showcase will offer a deep dive on what fans can expect, including more details on the new battle system and the prominent writing talent involved in the project.
