Stuck In Attic Updates Anticipated Fans On Status Of Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure

The wait is just about over! Since we last covered Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure, the gameplay, the voice-acting, and the many many many translations have finally been completed! Stuck In Attic, the Transylvanian game studio developing Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure, posted quite lengthy (but highly appreciated) update to their Kickstarter page today. The announcement revealed news regarding the upcoming release, beta testing, and physical look of the game.

After four years of developing this “cosmic comedy horror”, the developers were able to share images showcasing the hand-made, physical edition case for the game.

This beautifully crafted case, made from 100% recycled/reused wood and laser-engraved with the title’s logo, will be available for everyone who opted for a physical copy of the game. The corked potion bottle inside is actually a customized USB stick, which contains a copy of the game as well as the soundtrack.

What about a release date? Never fear, as the game is expected to launch sometime “This summer!”. Those hoping for a more concrete response will need to wait a little longer. The team states, “we just need the help of those willing to beta test the game to make absolutely sure no nasty game-breaking bugs snuck their way in.” Afterward, so long as everything goes well, they will be announcing the release date sometime next week.

For those interested in testing the beta, Stuck In Attic will be offering their backers the chance to play through, not the entirety, but 99% of the game. Why just 99%? A couple of sections have been omitted to ensure surprises, including the ending, can be enjoyed by everyone come launch day. No spoilers.

To register, send an email with “BACKER BETA STEAM” or “BACKER BETA NO DRM” as the subject line to the team. Don’t forget to include your preference of platform, as well as your Kickstarter ID. For the full instructions on signing up for testing, visit the project’s Kickstarter announcement post.

For more information, check out the game’s official website, Kickstarter, or Steam page. Wishlist this Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure to be notified of when it becomes available. For news, such as the soon-to-be-announced release date, be on the lookout for updates posted to Twitter and Facebook.
