With September’s end approaching and the first week of fall underway, Capcom is getting a jumpstart on the spookiest season by releasing some Halloween costumes for Street Fighter V.
Birdie, Dhalsim, F.A.N.G, M. Bison and Urien are the lucky fighters receiving horror-inspired outfits this year, which players can now purchase. These costumes transform the mentioned fighters into a butcher (Birdie), mummy (Dhalsim, pictured above), mad scientist (F.A.N.G), demon (M. Bison), and Street Fighter III character Gill (Urien).
This is the second time Capcom has added Halloween outfits to SFV in addition to a Halloween-themed version of the Underground Arena stage named Spooky Arena. The holiday-specific arena was released last year with the first wave of SFV Halloween costumes for Alex, Cammy, Juri, Nash, Necalli, Ryu and Vega. Both the stage and last year’s costumes can be purchased in a bundle or separately.

With this second wave of costumes, almost half of the game’s roster can play dress-up in honor of the October holiday. Even SFIII‘s Necro, who is not playable in SFV, joins the fall fun during his Spooky Arena cameo dressed as a witch.
Additionally, a number of other outfits were released today, along with a new take on a retro stage. Another fall-themed costume bundle has Cammy, Ed and recent addition Menat looking preppy in school uniforms. Cammy and Chun-Li have the most new outfits in today’s DLC, with both fighters getting three costumes each.
Besides Cammy’s previously mentioned school uniform, she also receives clothing resembling her days as a brainwashed bodyguard for M. Bison and her SFIV era alternate costume. Chun-Li adds some versatility to her wardrobe as she gains a leather jacket and jeans combo, another bikini and what Capcom calls ‘sleepwear.’
The last bits of purchasable content for the fighting game is an updated SFII stage known as English Manor and background music packs. This remake slightly changes the stage’s perspective and makes the aurora-filled night sky more realistic.
