With the release date for Star Wars Zero Company quickly approaching, many fans are looking forward to any new information regarding the latest take on tactics and strategy in the Star Wars galaxy. With the first trailer over year old now, and another trailer revealing fan-favorite characters like Anakin Skywalker during Summer Games Fest 2026, the question about the main plotline and conflict remained as the months passed by. The final trailer brings insight into the antagonists while showing off more faces that fans of Star Wars will be familiar with.
The trailer opens with the main character, Hawks, spying on an individual named Fathom, who is performing an induction with parasitic insect creatures. From there, the trailer focuses on a mission taking place on Luunata, the volcanic world that houses Fathom’s mining citadel. Footage shifts between tactical gameplay with the player’s characters within the volcano to a tense flight surrounded by lava. During this sequence, the team makes mention of both the Coil, the antagonistic organization opposing the heroes, and the Plague, the infection that the Coil uses to secure loyalty. Later on, more recognizable characters and groups appear such as a Mandalorian insisting that a deal be honored and a trooper in the armor of Captain Rex from the Star Wars: The Clone Wars series.
In addition to story details, the trailer also offers a closer look at some of the gameplay options players will have during missions. Different units are shown moving large distances and dismantling enemies with a lightsaber and clearing out groups of battle droids at once with a shotgun-like blast. Toward the end, a trooper sets up position and takes down a line of foes with a repeating blaster.
The grand scale of the main Star Wars stories leaves a lot of room for smaller conflicts, such as the mission of Zero Company. The mystery surrounding the Plague, the Coil, and Fathom will be revealed when Star Wars Zero Company releases on August 27th.
