Star Wars: Outlaws Could Be Released Late 2024 According To New Disney Parks Blog Post

One of the most anticipated games coming in 2024 is Star Wars: Outlaws, the first-ever open-world Star Wars game coming from Ubisoft. The game was reportedly coming in early 2024 but Ubisoft announced that it had delayed a “large” game that was planning to release by the end of March 2024. Supposedly, that game was Star Wars: Outlaws. However, a new blog post on Disney Parks may have revealed a new release timing.

The new blog post is counting down the 24 ooh-worthy things at Disney experiences in 2024. At #22 is “Star Wars Outlaws, the open-world Star Wars game is set to release late this year, the post said. “The game lets you explore distinct planets across the galaxy, both iconic and new. You can risk it all as Kay Vess, an emerging scoundrel seeking freedom and the means to start a new life, along with her companion Nix. If you’re willing to take the risk, the galaxy is full of opportunities.”

Star Wars: Outlaws is set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Players will live the high-stakes lifestyle of an outlaw as Kay with Nix by her side. Kay can fight with a blaster, overcome enemies with stealth and gadgets, or find the right moments to distract enemies and gain the upper hand.

The planets that you’ll be able to explore will be distinct with bustling cities and cantinas before racing across sprawling outdoor landscapes on your speeder. Each planet brings new adventures, unique challenges, and enticing rewards.

Players will take on high-risk, high rewards from the galaxy’s crime syndicates, from stealing valuable goods, infiltrating secret locations, and outwitting enemies as one of the galaxy’s most wanted.

Alongside exploring distinct planets, Kay can take to space with her ship, the Trailblazer, engaging in thrilling dogfights with the Empire and other foes, finding the right opportunity to chase, evade, and attack to get the upper hand.

Following the initial report, Ubisoft has since reached out to IGN and said that the “late 2024” timing had been updated to a “correct” release window of 2024.
