Space Puzzler, Faraday Protocol, Coming to Steam in 2021

For fans of puzzle games, there is another one on its way, and this time it is set in space. The first game from indie developer, Red Koi Box, is called Faraday Protocol. They have partnered with Deck13, which has published other indie games like The Shattering, Resolutiion, CrossCode, and more.

In this first-person puzzle game, players will take the position of an “interstellar archeologist from planet Cunor” named Raug Zeekon. They were sent to this new place, which is later identified as Opis by a suspicious voice, in order to figure out where the source of a mysterious signal is coming from. From the trailer, we can see that Opis appears to be this large temple or Ziggurat buried in a forest. The architecture seems to be very Art Deco and Egyptian-inspired. For the player to advance in the storyline, they need to solve a series of complex puzzles by utilizing this futuristic tool the archeologist is equipped with called the Bia-Tool. This tool can absorb and re-distribute energy which is vital to activating or re-routing powerlines and other mysterious technology that is employed on Opis. Throughout the journey, the mystery surrounding the Ziggurat, including who built it as well as the reason for its creation, will slowly unravel. For completionist-type gamers, there are hidden collectibles that can be found throughout the game to further add to the challenge.

Faraday Protocol does not have a release date as of yet, however, it is due to come out sometime this year. Until then, anyone interested can wishlist the title on Steam.
