For fans of horror games, another one is coming soon to both the Xbox and PlayStation consoles. However, it is not a new game. Instead, this game is Song of Horror, which has been out on PC for a little over a year. We learned of these new versions through a reveal trailer that was released a couple of days ago.
Developed by Protocol Games, Song of Horror is a third-person fixed camera horror game. Any avid horror fans will find the gameplay familiar to other horror staples like Silent Hill and Resident Evil. Players are able to play as any of the thirteen different characters available as they attempt to search for the infamous writer Sebastian P. Husher after both he and his family went missing. There is a permadeath system in place which means that if too many of the characters die, players will have to restart the chapter. They will encounter numerous puzzles to solve and it will include a lot of backtracking and world exploration. There are a total of five bone-chilling episodes for players to play through as they try to unravel the mystery and stay alive which take place in a variety of locations such as an antique shop, an abandoned mental hospital, and more. However, throughout the game players will encounter AI-driven monsters which will adapt to the characters actions and movement to keep players constantly on edge.
Song of Horror is already available on the PC for $29.99 and has gotten ‘Very Positive’ reviews on Steam. However, it will be also available on the Xbox One and the PlayStation on May 28.
