Sneak Peak of Blair Witch Gameplay has been Released

It was not long ago the cult classic Blair Witch was confirmed to have video game adaption on the way. The teaser trailer was shown at E3 2019 and gave a good look at what the game adaption has to offer to survival horror fans. Prepping for it’s August 30th release, Blair Witch has officially released a gameplay trailer to give even more insight on the mechanics behind the game. The game is looking dark and dreary and looks to fill the psychological horror fancy for fans.

Blair Witch follows the story of a man Ellis, a former cop and his loyal dog Bullet in search for answers on the disappearance of a young boy in the Black Hills Forest.  Unlike the first trailer, questions on how Ellis can interact with his trusty companion have been shown. It seems that Ellis can give bullet different commands allowing him to search ahead in different areas. Bullet also has the ability to unearth things in the ground, whether these things are survival items that can be used or simply story-based clues that allow progression is unknown. Knowing that Bullet is a big part of the gameplay may allow players to use him for self-defense as well in certain circumstances. That is, if what Ellis thinks he is up against is actually there.

In the trailer, Ellis talks quite frequently to a woman named Jess. As he progresses in the mystery, it seems he begins to question his own sanity. Sanity in horror games like this can sometimes play a huge role. Whether or not Ellis will be up against his own mind on top of the dangers that seem to lurk in the forest is uncertain.

There is still a lot of mystery behind Blair Witch making it an exciting game to keep track of. That said, those who love the thrill of being alone in a dark isolated forest, Blair Witch is looking to provide scares as well as a good mystery all around. Blair Witch will be released on Xbox One and PC August 30th. For those waiting to hear more details on this title, stay connected right here on MXDWN Games.

Nathan Arquiette: Mom and Dad would never buy me a gaming console growing up, so I bought my own Dreamcast when I was 10 years old. Ever since then my passion for gaming went wild. Why watch a movie or read a book when you can take part in the plot playing a game was my philosophy. "Video games rot your brain" but I had a 10th grade reading level in the 6th grade all thanks to RPG's. Talking and writing about games is something I will never get tired of.
