IO Interactive Reveals New Siberia DLC for Hitman 2, and Confirms Hitman 3 is in the Works

It’s been hot the past couple of weeks. Europe has seen its hottest summer ever, and IO Interactive has decided that they don’t want to deal with the heat anymore. So in the hit sequel of their franchise Hitman 2, is getting an icy cold DLC. How icy cold? Try the snowy wastelands of Siberia, icy. And it’s coming in with a new map, and some new missions:

Chilling.

In the upcoming Siberia DLC titled Crime and Punishment, Agent 47 is being sent up to the Perm-14 prison complex where he has to complete 4 new objectives. There are two new marks that he’ll have to assassinate. One being an ex-Russian mobster Roman Khabko and the prison warden (who once was a KGB operative) Vitaly Reznikov. Along with the two marks, there’s a couple of more overall objectives, according to the announcement that IO Interactive made about the upcoming DLC. This being, to kill all the Siberian Tigers, and cause a prison riot. Though it doesn’t explain why or who beyond what we’re given in the trailer, it is stated that there will be more in the mission briefing.

The new Siberia DLC is a part of the of Prison Expansion pack, and those who already own this pack will be able to download and play the new missions on July 30. For those who don’t have it, the Expansion Pack can be purchased for around 40 dollars. It would be well worth it, as this will be the only new Hitman content for a while.

IO Interactive has confirmed that Hitman 3 is being talked about, and in the works. There was a recent documentary with Noclips where this was revealed. IO Interactive did state that they enjoyed the episodic nature of the first Hitman, and will be focusing the third installment in that style. As of currently, there isn’t much else information about the new installment of the franchise, other than that it’s being worked on, and IO Interactive isn’t slowing down.
